Over the weekend MD Kevin Johnson was a panel participant in the SDG Cities Global Conference. The Conference is co-hosted by UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) and the Shanghai Municipal People’s Government. It will be the launchpad for promoting the UN Sustainable Development Goals for the world’s urban areas.
Kevin has been working with UN Habitat for the last 12 months developing the Global Urban Monitoring Framework. The Framework is intended to be the format in which urban areas around the world collect, analyse and report on data that measures whether they are moving towards the UN SDGs.
Melbourne was in lockdown during much of the time during which he worked on the project. Who says you can’t work for the UN from your dining table?
