Kevin Johnson is the Managing Director at Geografia, where he leads the firm’s work in systems modelling for economics and demography. Kevin brings over 30 years of experience in economic and policy analysis, including a teaching stint in urban economics at the University of Melbourne. His career also includes roles in education and state government research in Victoria and Western Australia. Recently, Kevin has been focused on applying systems thinking to demographic and economic research across Australia and Southeast Asia, resulting in the creation of tools like Spendmapp, Placemapp, and Popmapp.
Kevin also works with UN-Habitat to develop monitoring tools that support sustainable urban development globally. He regularly publishes articles and blogs and is a member of the Institute of Australian Geographers, Economic Development Australia and the Economics Society of Australia.
