Last Friday night in Brisbane Kevin was graciously invited to join in celebrations with friends from Logan City Council, who won the award for Community Wellbeing & Diversity as well as the overall prize at the Queensland PIA 2025 awards. The awards were in recognition of the successful application of a process for measuring quality of life. Kevin designed the process with colleagues Dr. Kyle Farrell and Mihir Prakash from UN-Habitat (United Nations Human Settlements Programme) and then they each tested it out on cities in our respective parts of the world.
Fortunately for us, David Hansen from Logan City Council heard Kevin spruiking the idea at the Adelaide PIA Congress in 2023 and immediately saw how he could align it with their Transform Logan project. Now Logan is set up to ensure all of its decisions put first and foremost whether they are improving the quality of life of residents and businesses in the City.
Congratulations once again to Logan City Council for their project and award submission!
