Objective
Evaluate the economic impact of the construction, operation and decommissioning of the windfarm for input into the compulsory Environmental Effects Statement.
Method
Deploy a regional input output modelling framework (CityCompass) to estimate the effect of the windfarm stages on employment, GRP and output at the local, regional and national scale.
Solution
Consultation with the proponent to derive construction and operational workforces and timeframes to calibrate the model to estimate direct and indirect impacts from this.
A report was then prepared summarising results and describing input assumptions and caveats. This was included as part of the EES for submission.
