ROLE
Shoaib is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of Geografia’s software products and projects.

EXPERIENCE

Shoaib has over 15 years’ experience as a full stack geospatial software engineer. He started work with Geoscience Australia in Canberra as a Geoscience data manager, before relocating to Berlin, where he worked on creating a cloud-based geospatial database as a service. In 2013 that startup was acquired by the Swiss company Sourcepole.

In 2014 he started working with Geografia because it gave him the perfect opportunity to apply his expertise in geospatial tech and product development to real-world problems.

Today he leads the company's web application development. He is a Board Member of the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team and has served on the board of Australian Chapter of Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo).

He plays the sarod as well (Google it mate).
