Regional Digital Strategy

Southern Grampians and Glenelg Shires

Working with our regular collaborators engage2, we developed a digital strategy for two neighbouring councils in regional Victoria. The introduction of high speed NBN presented an opportunity to transform these communities and so we looked at ways the shires could nudge productivity gains in local industry, wealth generation in the community and, at the same time, increase the scope for residents and businesses to more fully engage online.  The project was comprehensive. We talked to large numbers of residents and businesses, devised actions for the shires and businesses, ran a competition for young digital entrepreneurs and modelled and mapped the state of the digital economy in the region: the skills, infrastructure, activities and opportunities.
