Working for Melbourne-based planning firm, Echelon Planning, we designed and built a login-only web portal for compiling and displaying all planning related documents for the Great Ocean Road Region. The system is designed to be a secure and easy-to-use interface for staff in the Department to maintain an up-to-date database of all planning-related documents for the region. It uses both a map and table based search function to identify and extract documents relevant to a particular area down to lot level. It is a lean and adaptable system that demonstrates how we can build open source, but secure and stable digital platforms.
