Driving Data Analytics
RACV
A data to build a model to analyse driver behaviour. This used a dongle to record driver habits (acceleration, braking, speed, location and direction). The data was then piped to a cloud-based server and then a machine learning system deployed to analyse the behaviour, monetise the impacts of it (with a focus on fuel efficiency) and signal back to the driver how they could improve their driving and reduce travel costs. The tool was developed for the Royal Automobile Club of Victoria with the intention of it being shared with other automobile bodies around the world.
