Dr Matt Benson BSc(Hons) PhD

Principal

Matt has a local government, infrastructure planning and community development background. Trained in the discipline of geography, his primary skill is the ability to draw together social, economic and environmental issues and link them to viable sustainability solutions. Previously, Matt held the position of Facilities Planning Co-ordinator with the City of Gosnells where he developed their Community Facilities Strategic Plan and participated in the delivery of a number of awarding winning community facility projects.

In the past Matt has worked in private practice as a social and local economic development planner on an array of greenfield and urban revitalisation projects. He has overseen a range of initiatives including corporate strategic plans, community engagement, open space master plans and employment programs. Matt's Doctorate researched the connection between social behaviour, the economy and sustainability. This experience ensures clients a service that balances theory, practicality, sound project management and commercial reality.
